You can create and add an HTML document to your content by following these steps:
- Go to Content in your course.
- Click on the Unit where you want to add the HTML document.
- Click on Create New.
- On the next screen, select Page.
- Enter the title of the document.
- If you want the document to be temporarily available, enter a date here; otherwise, leave it blank.
- You can use the various features of the text editor tool.
- There are different templates available that you can select.
- Here, you can specify the period during which you want the document to be available.
- It is possible to add Release Conditions if you want students to complete something before they can view this document.
When you're done, click on Save and Close at the bottom. Don't forget to click the slider next to Hidden so that the document is visible to students. It will then show as Visible.

If you want to import a page from another course, you can do so following the steps in this article:How do I copy content from my Blackboard course to Brightspace?
When importing HTML pages into your Brightspace course, it is important to always use a unique name for the HTML page. Currently, Brightspace works in such a way that when you import an HTML page from one Brightspace course to another, the HTML page with THE SAME NAME will be overwritten.
For example: In Course X, I have an HTML page named Assessment information.html I import this HTML page into Course Y, which also has an HTML page named Assessment information.html. At this point, you now have the same HTML page Assessment information in your course twice, but in the background, it is the same page. This means that when you edit Assessment information in one location, it will also change in the other location.
You can prevent this by always giving the HTML pages a unique name. For example, Assessment information Cursus X and Assessment information Cursus Y. You will need to change this name under Course Admin > Manage Files. Simply changing the title of the already created HTML page is not sufficient.
