You can choose to make the grade column invisible to students. For example, if you don’t want students to see the grade at all, or if you want to release the grades at a later time. This might be the case if you are unable to grade all students at once or if you want to make adjustments to the grades after grading. To avoid confusion for the students, it is recommended to keep the grades hidden until you can release them all at the same time.
If the assignment is linked to a category, in addition to the above, the category should also be hidden. If the category is not hidden, the category subtotal will remain visible to students.
If you hide a grade column in the Gradebook that is linked to an activity (e.g., an Assignment), the grade will still be visible. To hide the grades for an Assignment, you must hide both the grade column and the Assignment from the students.
