In Brightspace, you can add Library Guides under Content, such as literature reviews, databases, guides for literature research, the use of APA guidelines, or the library catalog. The library ensures that this information remains up to date.
To add (content from) Library Guides, go to the course where this information should be placed.
Click on Content in the navbar, then click on the location where you want to add the Library Guides. Click Add Existing.
In the next screen, choose External Tool Activity.
Then, select HanzeMediatheek - Library Guides.
The HanzeMediatheek - Library Guides will be added to your Content. Next, choose the Content Type, Guide, and optionally the Guide Page you want to add. To add the Guide, click Embed Content.
For a specific A-Z database, it's better to add a link to the database page in the A-Z list. A guide on how to do this is provided below.
Search for the database in the A-Z Databases lijst and click on the name.
Copy the URL of the database page. This name always starts with https://libguides.hanze.nl/az, for example https://libguides.hanze.nl/az/van-dale-online-dictionaries
Click on Create New in the unit, then select Web Link.
- Enter the name of the database in the Web Link Title.
- Paste the URL of the database in the Link field.
- You can choose to open the page in a new tab or embed it.
- Don't forget to make the link visible.
- Click on Save and Close
The link will appear in the Content of the course.
