When you want to transfer content from your Blackboard course to your Brightspace course, always start in the Brightspace course where you want to place the Blackboard content.

Click on Course Admin in the course, then click on Import/Export/Copy Components.

Select the top option and click on Search for offering.

Type the course ID of the Blackboard course from which you want to import content and press Search.

Check the correct course and click on Add Selected.

At the bottom of the screen, you have two options. You can choose either Copy All Components or Select Components. If you choose Copy All Components, all data from the old Blackboard course will be transferred to the Brightspace course. In the Brightspace course, you can then decide what you want to keep and what you want to discard.

If you choose Select Components, you can follow the steps below. At this step, you can already choose in advance which content you want to import and which content you do not.

You will see a list of all the content in the Blackboard course. Select the materials you want to transfer to your Brightspace course and click on Continue.

The Offset Dates function ensures that you don't have to manually adjust each date when importing content into a new course. It makes the process of updating dates more efficient and easier.

Example: If the original course started on January 1 and the new course starts on January 15, you can use the Offset Dates function to shift all dates by 14 days so they align with the new start date.

Click Finish when you're done.

You will then see Copying in progress next to the materials you are importing. When it's finished, Copy Completed will appear. Then click on View Content to see your materials in your Brightspace course.
