Brightspace allows you to add users to a course in bulk. Here's how you can do it:
Go to the course and click Users > Classlist in the navbar.
Click Add Participants > Import users from a file on your computer

On the page you are now, you will see the requirements the file must meet, and you can download a sample file.
With the following procedure, you can create a correct file to upload into Brightspace.
- Open Excel
- Enter the users (4-letter code or student number) in the first column
- Enter the role (Learner or Instructor) in the second column
- Go to File > Save As > CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)
The file will look approximately like this (NOTE: You do not need to use a header row)."

After doing this, locate the file you saved, right-click on it, and select Open with Notepad.
You will now see that a semicolon ( ; ) is placed between the Username and Role. This needs to be changed to a comma ( , ). You can easily do this by pressing CTRL + H.
In the top field, enter ; and in the bottom field, enter , then click Replace All.
You will see that the semicolons ( ; ) have been replaced with commas ( , ). Then save the file.
Once you have created the file, click Choose File to upload the correct file. Then click Import.
