Deleting content (or having it deleted)

Updated on

If the course does not contain educational materials or student work that must be retained for 7 years, it may be decided to delete (parts of) the course earlier.

Programs can decide for themselves whether educational materials and/or submitted student work should be deleted earlier, for example after two years, from Brightspace. As an instructor, you can delete content and/or prepared assignments with submitted work, so that the educational materials and any other assignments with longer retention periods remain available.

If the entire course may be deleted, you can contact the key-user(s) of the program. They can submit a request to Brightspace functional management and (in consultation with the Osiris key-user(s)) check whether any adjustments still need to be made in Osiris.
